In-line degreasing of metal blades prior to painting
Residual machining oils, greases and fine metal particles can compromise coating adhesion and long-term surface durability.
In the pre-painting phase,in-line cleaning with dry saturated steam is an effective alternative to traditional industrial washing systems.
In this process, the blades pass through a compact cleaning chamber integrated directly into the production line. Several nozzles deliver dry saturated steam at approximately 10 bar and around 120 °C into the nozzle, ensuring complete coverage of both blade surfaces and edges.
The thermal action of the steam melts and removes oils and contaminants, while its ability to penetrate micro-irregularities allows effective cleaning even in complex blade geometries.
The result is a clean, dry and active metal surface, immediately ready for painting, reducing the risk of coating defects or flash rust formation.
At REA we offer free demonstrations directly at your facility to test this technology on your own production line.
