The use of saturated steam in these processes represents a highly efficient, sustainable, and safe solution.
The injection of saturated steam inside a tank or mixer quickly brings the internal temperature to levels that melt product residues, eliminating them by gravity. For example, a 1000-liter tank can reach a temperature of 80°C in just 10 minutes, allowing effective removal of fats, oils, waxes, and other compounds typical of production processes.
This also ensures a sanitizing action that reduces microbial load without the use of aggressive chemical agents.

The introduction of steam into the tanks can be done completely automatically, without the need for a dedicated operator.
This reduces:
- the risk of accidental contamination due to manual handling
- operators’ exposure to aggressive chemicals or high temperatures
- downtime between production cycles, increasing “operational efficiency”
Another advantage of steam over traditional methods is the greater sustainability in residue removal: the heat of the steam facilitates the detachment of the product from the walls without the need for scrubbing or applying aggressive detergents.
